Barracuda diving center is located at 59 st.& 1st Av. Varadero.This centre has 30 immersion places. It has different kinds of immersions such as: reef, sunk ships, wall, night, Cavern and diving from the border line.

Diving in Varadero

Varadero geographical features invite diving lovers to visit it. The peninsula is near to one of the most important strings of corals with 7000 km2, it makes of its living sea flora and fauna, sunk ships and submarine caves, the main attractive of this sea sport. By this way, diving in Varadero littoral is characterized by diverse sea landscapes, where patch reefs are very common.

Cayo Piedras del Norte Sea Park inmersion | Varadero

Cayo Piedras del Norte Sea Park .The only park of its kind in Cuba, and suited both for snorkling and diving, it is located some 8 nautical miles northeast of Varadero and extends over an area of 2 square nautical miles.

Playa Larga

Playa Larga can be found in the famous Bahía de Cochinos (Bay of Pigs), at the Zapata Peninsula, 32 km. from the National Highway. This bay became famous after on April 1961, an army of Cuban exiles invaded the island in order to overthrow Fidel Castro’s newly established revolutionary government.

Cayo Largo del Sur

Cayo Largo owes its name to its elongated shape. Around 1494 admiral Christopher Columbus touched upon it during his second voyage to Cuba. It is also linked to the large groups of corsairs and pirates that of old used to roam the Caribbean Sea.

Playa Sevilla

63 km. to the west of Santiago de Cuba and 2 hours by car to Antonio Maceo International Airport, lies Sevilla beach renowned by its brown sands and the mountains that seem to look over it. Its vicinity to a coral reef, that can be seen just by going 50 m. into the sea wearing a snorkel, and Sierra Mar diving center are some of the attractions that make it such a gorgeous, paradisiacal spot.

Playa Siboney

The beautiful little beach Siboney, can be found about 19 km. from the Santiago city. Having the downtown nearby, the people from Santiago often visit it. It’s a very clean beach, with transparent water, surrounded by coconut trees. It’s an excellent choice for relaxing and enjoying along with local people. The visitor can take lodging in some of the homes of the area. Two diving centers, Sigua and Bucanero, are in this zone.

Playa Daiquirí

Dauqiri is located inside the Baconao Park Biosphere Reserve, in a coastal zone to the south, very close to the Sierra Maestra Range. Baconao Park, 80 000 hectares of natural beauties encloses this beach of fine sand and crystal-clear waters surrounded by boulders that grant it great privacy.

Playa Caleton Blanco

Can be found on an inlet west of Baconao Park, where nature grows wild and free. Its fine white sands are surrounded, like most beaches on this coast, by boulders and a thick growth that stretches almost to the seashore. Being so near to Sierra Maestra Range, this beach is enclosed by mountains. The Sierra Mar Diving Center operates next to this area.

Marea del Portillo

Marea del Portillo, well known because of its black sand, extends over 2 km. It lies 108 km. south of Manzanillo Airport, in Granma. Besides the peculiar coloring of the sand, it also owes its charm to its location within a bay sheltered by the Sierra Maestra mountains and bordered by coconut and palm trees.
